We are an alternative women’s publication. We strive to help build up the community of women in the Corvallis/Newport/Monmouth/Albany areas. We support local, woman-owned businesses through our weekly alternative publication, as well as woman-centric events. www.womyncentric.com
Description ~ Womyncentric is woman-owned, woman-run weekly publication based in beautiful Corvallis, Oregon. We desire to support the alternative northwest culture of women in our area, as well as businesses owned by women. In addition, we aspire to create fulfilling jobs for women through our publication.
Our website is hosted with a wind-powered company based in Portland Oregon (Canvas Dreams) that is half woman-owned. We are also entirely woman-staffed.
Our publication is in full-color, giving women the opportunity to have their ads be as beautiful as they were designed to be. We offer ad design services, as well as grants (on an as-available basis) for new and struggling woman-owned businesses who could benefit from advertising with us.

Mission ~ The mission of Womyncentric is to produce an alternative women’s publication that is distributed on a monthly basis to every place a woman might be. We will begin distribution in the Corvallis and Newport areas, and then expand to be in Eugene and Portland areas by the end of 2012. We’ll talk about things most other publications won’t and we’ll do it in a fun, irreverent yet respectful way. We will inform and educate women about woman-owned businesses and entertainment as well as events and anything else that adds to the identity and pride of the community of alternative women in Oregon. We strive to inform and be a part of the story of women in Corvallis, Newport, and eventually throughout the Northwest. Through supporting women and woman-owned businesses, we hope to make a difference in the quality of life for everyone who reads our publication and attends our events. Womyncentric is dedicated to the belief that a strong women’s publication is essential to a vibrant, rich community of women who love life. We endeavor to support women-centric music, food, entertainment, venues, restaurants, and all other woman-owned businesses through the Womyncentric publication and this website.
